Cons through the phone

On last wednesday, I was on KLCC CEO Roadshow. I received a call from my aunt but I'm not convenient to pick it up. Later than, I received a sms from my brother saying that my mum was blackmailed.

There is a call to my aunt's office. Once the phone was picked up, they heard a boy crying and asking for help. The office aunt who picked up the phone thought that the voice was my brother. She shouted my mum for answered the phone. The guy sound not local and most probably from China. He demanded for ransom of RM10k to be prepared in half and hour and request to get my mum handphone number to contact her to pay the ransom later. The situation make all of them panic and just think of ready the money for the guy. As my aunt went out to pick up her kids, my mum dropped her a call to ask for help. Then my aunt asked my mum whether called my brother or not? Suddenly they awake that they suppose to drop my brother a call first. My aunt suppose that time calling me to help to call around to check where is my brother now. Luckily my brother was at home and manage to pick up my mum's call although it was under silent mode. That was a relieve for my mum and all the aunties there who was shocked on the demand and the boy who act crying so badly beside. The handphone is then turned off to avoid the guy calling.

This was so terrible and the next day morning newspaper, Sinchew had published that there is an old couple being cheated for RM20K as the same case as this. Those people really heartless of doing such things. All of us must be aware our parents or relatives on this case and ensure that our younger siblings are safe. Get few more contacts of younger siblings' friends and keep track where are they going to avoid such con case happened. As chinese new year is nearer, a lots of "non-working" people trying to get money from the incorrect way. We know that our policemen wasn't that "smart" to protect us and they know that the laws are not that easily judge them.

** Take care **
